Our Board of Directors

President

Originally from the Philadelphia area, Kim Rainer is a lifelong animal advocate and is passionate about educating the community on the benefits of spay & neuter. She focuses her time with FOTECAS on transports, special events, and foster and volunteer management. Kim works for all the animals but is particularly taken by the old timers and the quirky pets that need special attention. She also enjoys photography, the beach, and spending time with her two pooches, Murray and Mae.

Vice President

Michelle Hoffman lives in Pace, FL with her husband, Doug, and her 2 dogs, Roxxie and Dexter. She has a soft spot for the bully breeds. When not working on transports and with the animals at the shelter, Michelle enjoys spending time with her family and reading.

Secretary

Though Heather Judkins spent her childhood in Texas, she has had the opportunity to live all over the world with her husband, Chris, thanks to his many U.S. Navy duty stations. In 2016, retirement brought them to Pensacola with their three dogs: Toula, Aristides, and Tucker. Heather has always loved animals, but her involvement in truly advocating for them began with her love of photography. She has been photographing Escambia County shelter dogs for their "glamour shots" since 2018. She has a partiality for hounds; however, all the pups in need of placement have a spot in her heart. When not taking care of her own pack, Heather is involved with her photography, creating art, or adventuring with her husband.

Officer

Originally from Wyoming, Sasha Corbett has had a special connection with animals from a very young age and it has formed her mission in life. She is a full-time veterinary technician as well as a ranch hand for several horses. Her home is affectionately called The Misfit Ranch, because it is filled with dogs and cats of all sizes, ages, and special needs. A little-known fact about her is that she is a history nerd and enjoys visiting museums and historical sites. When she’s not working or volunteering with animal welfare, she is usually sleeping with a pile of animals around her or out enjoying a trail ride on one of her horses.
