Spay Neuter Initiative Pensacola (SNIP)

Spay Neuter Initiative Pensacola (SNIP) was created with the intent of providing high quality, low cost spay and neuter services to lower income families in Escambia and Santa Rosa Counties. Cats and pitbull type dogs make up the highest percentages of animals going through intake and ultimately being euthanized in our shelters. The best way to change this is to stop the cycle before it starts- preventing unwanted litters and decreasing the overpopulation of dogs and cats in our area. The only way to do this is by spaying and neutering.

Through our partnership with Florida Animal Friend, we have received a grant to assist with providing spay/neuter vouchers for pitbulls, large breed dogs, owned cats, and friendly community cats. So here's how it works: if you are a resident of Escambia or Santa Rosa County and you qualify for government assistance or are on a very limited budget and you have a cat(s) and/or bully breed dog(s) that is not altered, you may qualify for SNIP assistance. Please complete the application below. Incomplete applications will not be considered. Once approved, you will have 10 days from the date of approval to make the appointment with our partner vet. At the time of surgery, you will pay a $25 per pet copay to the vet's office. You will need to provide proof of a current rabies vaccine and if your pet is not current, we can assist with getting them vaccinated.
